This internship is for the Summer session (May - August) and is located in Pierre. The intern will assist with the day-to-day duties of the office, which may include answering a toll-free line to assist consumers with their issues. The intern will gain knowledge of consumer protection laws such as the vehicle lemon law, travel statutes, charities, cyber security, ID Theft, and many more. The internship may also involve special projects like assisting investigators with research, organizing case files, and preparing cases. Additionally, the position may require attending state fairs to work in the Consumer Protection booth and interact with the public.
