Intern/Co-Op - PA
About The Position
RMF Engineering is seeking an engineering undergraduate for a full-time intern/co-op position. The duration and start and finish windows are based on the candidate’s academic calendar and availability. The goal is for the candidate to complete three semesters with RMF while progressing toward an engineering degree. Mechanical engineering work includes design and document production using AutoCAD and/or Revit (BIM, building information modeling), with opportunities for field observation and survey activities. The work places a strong emphasis on power and energy, infrastructure systems, and sustainable design principles. Interns work alongside senior engineering staff, and responsibilities increase over time with training. Follow-on internships are encouraged based on performance and attitude.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an engineering degree program at an accredited U.S. college or university.
- Satisfactory completion of freshman year with a minimum GPA of 2.8.
- Ability to complete the cooperative education program in accordance with the college or university’s guidelines.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- High school or entry-level knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
- Interest in consulting/design engineering.
Responsibilities
