Intern - Business Intelligence
About The Position
The Business Intelligence Intern contributes to projects and daily work in an assigned banking department while learning about Park’s brand, culture, history, department operations, processes, procedures, and performance standards. The intern works with BI engineers, Data Engineers, and business stakeholders to help deliver projects, manage and prioritize the BI team’s backlogs, facilitate meetings, remove project impediments, document work, and maintain the data catalog. The role works with business lines to understand requirements, translate them into technical language, and build dashboards using Tableau, SSRS, and Cognos. Awareness of SQL and Python is needed to assist with coding and dashboard development. The intern presents project results to appropriate audiences as requested, networks with associates and leaders across the bank, completes required training, and seeks further learning and development opportunities. The intern must follow the bank’s compliance and risk-management requirements, policies, and procedures and deliver service consistent with Service Excellence standards. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in a related area of study at a college or university.
- Awareness of SQL and Python.
Responsibilities

- Contribute to projects and daily work in the assigned banking department.
- Present project results to appropriate audiences as requested.
- Network with associates, leaders, and executives across the bank to develop relationships.
- Complete required training on time and seek additional learning and development opportunities.
- Manage the BI team’s backlogs and prioritize them based on business-line needs.
- Help facilitate meetings and remove impediments for projects.
- Perform documentation and maintain the data catalog.
- Work with BI engineers, Data Engineers, and business stakeholders to support timely project delivery.
- Build dashboards in Tableau, SSRS, and Cognos, and assist with coding using SQL and Python.
- Work with business lines to understand requirements, translate them into technical language, and build dashboards.
- Maintain awareness of and adhere to the bank’s compliance requirements and risk-management concepts, expectations, policies, and procedures in daily tasks.
- Deliver service consistent with Service Excellence standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
