About The Position

Divergent is hiring a student intern to support its Data Team in developing analytics and enhancing the underlying data infrastructure that enables AI workflows and agents. The intern will build dashboards and reporting tools, document data workflows, contribute to data models that are accessible to business users and AI, and work with stakeholders to define and execute projects. The internship lasts 12 weeks in summer 2027 and is onsite in Torrance, California.

Requirements

• Ability to lawfully access information and technology subject to U.S. export controls.
• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree or in the first year of a master’s program in Business Analytics, Data Science, Economics, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience with Excel and SQL.
• Ability to drive projects from start to finish and exercise good judgment about when to seek solutions independently and when to ask for guidance.
• Ability to accurately and completely gather business requirements from stakeholders and communicate findings clearly, concisely, and effectively.
• Desire to learn, willingness to engage with new topics, and interest in providing long-term value beyond simply completing projects.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.

Responsibilities

• Build visual dashboards and reporting tools using SQL, Python, Excel, and Power BI.
• Document data workflows and contribute to data models accessible to business users and AI.
• Work directly with stakeholders to define projects and execute them to build useful tools.
