About The Position

Dominion Energy is seeking interns to work under the direction of a Supervisor/Mentor. The intern will assist in the development, negotiation, amendment, implementation, and administration of agreements, contracts, and terms and conditions for major retail customer groups and County, Municipal, and State groups. This role involves developing knowledge and providing direction in interpreting policies, procedures, agreements, and filed terms and conditions. The intern will also assist in providing interpretation, guidance, and support in the administration and enforcement of contractual matters, service agreements, and regulatory issues. Additionally, the role includes assisting in the interpretation of existing Franchise agreements for the Distribution business unit, processing Service Territory Boundary Adjustment requests, advising on contractual rights and obligations and their economic and legal consequences, and assisting in the publication of major Design cost-to-customer process improvements. The intern will also help train company personnel, develop and implement company policies and procedures affecting major customer groups, and participate in difficult or complex customer negotiations. Responsibilities extend to preparing complex customer agreements and contracts, as well as complex or master agreements for large customer groups and special customer classifications. The intern will also assist in preparing complex project design parameters to determine customer charges, advise on the need for legal review, and assist in preparing testimony, exhibits, and filings with regulatory commissions involving contractual matters. Depending on business needs, the intern may also assist in major outage response, including patrolling, guiding crews, and analyzing outage data.
