About The Position

This position involves conducting alcohol safety education classes for individuals convicted of driving under the influence (DUI) first offense. Classes are held across the state of Mississippi. Employees hired into Intermittent positions are limited to working no more than 720 hours per fiscal year. The salary grade for this position is UC, which is 'Unclassified', and salary ranges are determined by the hiring department. The work locations are spread throughout Mississippi, including Olive Branch, Southhaven, Horn Lake, Corinth, Senatobia, New Albany, Tupelo, Oxford, Pontotoc, Clarksdale, Amory, Cleveland, Grenada, Starkville, Columbus, Greenwood, Greenville, Canton, Philadelphia, Madison, Columbia, Hattiesburg, Wiggins, Picayune, Gulfport, Biloxi, Bay St. Louis, Pascagoula, Long Beach, and Ocean Springs.

Requirements

  • Must have a bachelor degree in the social science or related discipline.
  • Must have demonstrated public speaking experiences.
  • Must be bondable.
  • Must reside within a reasonable driving distance to the class.
  • Must have background in mental health or law enforcement.
  • Must have a bachelor degree in social science or related discipline area.

Nice To Haves

  • Assistant Facilitators should be employed in law enforcement.
  • Assistant Facilitators should live within reasonable driving distance to the class.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct alcohol safety education classes for individuals convicted of driving under the influence (DUI) first offense.
  • Deliver classes in various cities around the state of Mississippi.
  • Complete approximately 16 hours of training prior to assuming duties.
