About The Position

The Maintenance Crew is responsible for maintaining homeowner condominiums, association properties, and assets. This role requires the ability to make competent decisions while considering the customers’ and resort’s interests at all times. Utilizing skill-based knowledge and experience to perform assigned tasks professionally, with a constant focus on productivity, efficiency, and quality of work. This position reports to the property manager responsible for the building. Strong people skills and good communication are essential due to guest contact and collaboration with internal departments. Ensuring all areas are safe for guests and employees is a priority. A basic tool kit will be provided.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, tech or trade school
  • 1-3 years experience as houseman, maintenance, or contractor field
  • Basic Microsoft office skills
  • Read, write, and speak fluent English preferred
  • Willing to work on a changing shift schedule, holidays and weekends
  • Valid Driver's License preferred
  • Must be able to lift more than 50 lbs.
  • Job requires employee to be on their feet, walking and standing, most of the time.

Nice To Haves

  • A basic understanding of drywall repair, painting, plumbing, electrics and carpentry is necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily rounds and checks as required by the property manager.
  • Attend to work orders, guest requests, housekeeping requests, and property manager requests.
  • Maintain all facilities and operating systems in a safe and efficient working order.
  • Complete assigned tasks in a safe, timely manner, adhering to required quality standards.
  • Follow and complete checklists as required by the property manager.
  • Prioritize and complete work orders and/or preventative maintenance as required.
  • Ensure safe disposal of all waste material.
  • Maintain tools and work area in a safe, secure, and efficient manner.
  • Collaborate with other internal departments as directed by the property manager, which may include directing or working with housepersons to ensure cleanliness of common areas.
  • Keep track of supplies and fill out requisitions for needed supplies, submitting them to the property manager.
  • Advise the property manager of issues/problems that require work orders for the PM engineering department.
  • Assist PM engineering when necessary, as directed by the property manager, for rental improvements.
  • Operate all tools according to manufacturer instructions.
  • Assist in training new members.
  • Be flexible to changing demands.
