About The Position

AWC Water Solutions Ltd. is seeking a qualified Intermediate Electrician for a permanent full-time position. The company specializes in integrated water and wastewater treatment plants, offering turn-key solutions with in-house engineering, fabrication, and field services. The role requires technical experience in industrial electrical and control wiring, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities. The position is based in a safe and clean indoor facility with modern amenities.

Requirements

  • Technical experience in industrial electrical and control wiring
  • Great attention to detail
  • Ability to identify and solve potential problems
  • Electrical Assembly
  • Basic Troubleshooting
  • Read Schematic Drawings
  • Understanding of instrumentation/device wiring and motor controls
  • Understanding User Manuals
  • Moderate knowledge of the Canadian Electric Code Part 1
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Accredited trade school or equivalent
  • 3+ Years of relevant electrical experience or equivalent
  • 3+ Years as a junior electrician or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Install equipment as per the general arrangement drawings
  • Install conduit and cable as per electrical schematics
  • Wiring of various types of instrumentation and controls
  • Assemble and wire custom control panels
  • Ensure manufacturers installation instructions and all code requirements are adhered to
  • Confirm wiring of components as they are completed
  • Review bill of materials for accuracy and flag any errors immediately
  • Redline drawings as required during assembly
  • Review finished assembly for accuracy
  • Occasional Site work and associated travel
  • Input weekly timesheets accurately and in a timely manner
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a high standard of conduct in the shop
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Other assigned duties as required
  • Immediately report any accident / incident and collaborate in its investigation
  • Interrupt work when conditions are unsafe, create safe work environment when possible and report to upper management
  • Maintain orderly and clean work areas
  • Use and maintain in good condition the safety equipment, work tools and personal protective equipment for the group
  • Work in a safe manner
