About The Position

The Interiors Sales Manager will lead the growth and market development of the company's interior architectural panel products throughout the United States and Canada. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, this individual will serve as the company's primary resource and market leader for interior products, building demand through specification sales, architect and designer relationships, and independent sales representative partnerships. The role calls for an entrepreneurial sales professional who can position premium architectural products, influence design decisions, convert specifications into awarded projects, develop the market, strengthen the representative network, and establish a foundation for sustained revenue growth. The role is based in Atlanta, Georgia, with a preference for relocation; remote arrangements may be considered for an exceptional candidate. Regular travel, typically a couple of days per week, is expected. The position coordinates with Atlanta-based technical and logistics teams and with European headquarters.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of specification sales experience in interior building products, architectural finishes, or a closely related industry.
  • Demonstrated success selling premium, differentiated products and maintaining specifications against lower-cost alternatives.
  • Established relationships with architects and interior designers in commercial markets.
  • Proven ability to secure product specifications and translate them into awarded projects and revenue.
  • Experience working with independent sales representatives or managing a multi-market representative network.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, including experience delivering lunch-and-learns, CEU programs, and product education sessions.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to develop a market and build a product category with limited existing infrastructure.
  • Consistent employment history demonstrating long-term commitment and professional growth.
  • Willingness to travel regularly, typically a couple of days per week.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; education in architecture, interior design, business, or a related field is advantageous.
  • Experience selling high-end architectural interior products, including wood panels, acoustic systems, decorative wall panels, ceiling systems, or comparable premium finishes.
  • Exposure to hospitality, workplace, healthcare, education, or other commercial interior environments.
  • Experience launching a new product line, developing an emerging market, or expanding an established brand into a new segment.
  • Track record of influencing architects and designers to specify products based on quality, aesthetics, performance, and long-term value rather than price alone.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for the interior product line across the United States and Canada, establishing revenue and specification targets.
  • Serve as the company's primary interiors expert, providing product knowledge, market insight, and sales leadership to internal teams and external partners.
  • Train, educate, and support independent sales representatives on product applications, differentiators, and effective selling strategies.
  • Build relationships with architects and interior designers through product presentations, lunch-and-learns, AIA continuing education programs, and other educational initiatives.
  • Identify target design firms, influential specifiers, and strategic projects to generate demand and secure product specifications.
  • Manage specified opportunities through bidding, subcontractor engagement, and project award to convert specifications into orders.
  • Coordinate with Atlanta-based technical and logistics teams on samples, submittals, product availability, and lead times for products manufactured in Europe.
  • Represent the interior product line at industry trade shows, design events, and professional associations.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, monitor pipeline and specification activity, and communicate performance and growth opportunities to the National Sales Manager.
  • Provide market intelligence on design trends, competitor activity, customer feedback, and product development opportunities to company leadership and European headquarters.

Benefits

  • Base salary of $175,000–$200,000 annually.
  • Annual bonus with a 20% target opportunity.
  • Comprehensive benefits package.
  • Opportunity to lead the expansion of a premium architectural product line across the United States and Canada.
  • Direct visibility with senior leadership and international headquarters.
  • Ability to shape market strategy, influence product development, and build lasting relationships across the architectural and design community.
  • Long-term career opportunity with an established organization committed to sustained growth.
