Interior Door Assembler
About The Position
The Interior Door Assembler assembles interior doors to specifications and production requirements while maintaining quality, safety, and productivity standards. The role involves preparing materials, using tools and manufacturing equipment, inspecting products, and working at different production stations as business needs require. The employer is willing to train motivated candidates, including those without prior industry experience. This position is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving machinery, mechanical equipment, varying weather conditions, dust, vibration, and industrial noise. Hearing protection, eye protection, and other required personal protective equipment must be used.
Requirements
- No prior experience is required; motivated candidates eager to learn and grow may be trained.
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Frequently use hands and arms to grasp, handle, and assemble materials.
- Frequently lift up to 50 pounds and regularly lift up to 25 pounds.
- Occasionally lift up to 100 pounds with assistance when appropriate.
- Occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and balance.
- Use required hearing protection, eye protection, and other personal protective equipment.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in carpentry, construction, manufacturing, assembly, or woodworking.
- Experience working with hand tools, power tools, or production equipment.
Responsibilities
- Assemble interior doors according to specifications and production requirements.
- Position and secure lumber and truss components using hand tools, pneumatic tools, and manufacturing equipment.
- Measure, cut, and prepare materials to exact specifications.
- Inspect products to ensure quality standards are met and identify defects.
- Operate equipment used in fastening and assembly processes.
- Work at various production stations as business needs require.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow company safety policies and procedures.
- Wear required personal protective equipment at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
