Interior Design Project Manager

Denori Designs•Westminster, CO

About The Position

Denori Designs is hiring an Interior Design Project Manager to take ownership of client project delivery from kickoff, after the design agreement is signed, through finished installation and closeout. The role coordinates contractors, vendors, procurement, schedules, budgets, and communication to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget. This is a project-delivery role, not a design position: the Project Manager ensures that the designers’ plans are built, delivered, and installed as promised, but does not select finishes or draw floor plans. The Project Manager will take over 11 active projects during the first 90 days. Year-one goals include having 90% of installs completed within five business days of the kickoff date, 90% of projects completed within 5% of their approved budgets, documenting and obtaining client approval for every change before billing, and creating a repeatable project playbook that supports running more than 20 projects simultaneously without slippage. The role is also expected to help ensure that 90% of clients rate their experience 9 or 10 out of 10 at closeout.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience managing interior, renovation, or FF&E projects with contractors.
  • Ability to hold contractors to schedules and scope, in person or remotely, while maintaining working relationships.
  • Knowledge of how lead times, freight, and site readiness affect project sequencing.
  • Ability to identify project delays before they affect delivery.
  • Strong budget-tracking and cost-control skills, including managing scope changes through change orders.
  • Proactive ownership and problem-solving; follow through even when an issue is not formally assigned to you.
  • Ability to manage client relationships from kickoff through closeout, set expectations, and handle difficult conversations.
  • Ability to coordinate deadlines across designers, procurement, vendors, and contractors.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills to serve as the central communication hub for projects.
  • Ability to document and improve project systems and processes.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with hospitality or residential projects.

  • Resolve project problems proactively and take ownership through to a practical solution.
  • Support strong client and team satisfaction and encourage client referrals.
