This is a 1st shift opportunity for an Interim Tool and Die Team Leader. The role involves overseeing the setup and safe operation of the department, delegating authority and responsibility while maintaining control, and organizing the department to meet production schedules and quality goals. The position requires coordination of individual and departmental efforts, and a strong understanding of the technical aspects of equipment, processes, and tools. Collaboration with manufacturing, maintenance, tool & die, and management is essential for efficient plant operation. The role also includes completing various reports and paperwork, training and coaching team members, verifying machine parameters, conducting cycle checks, promoting teamwork, quality, good housekeeping, and a safe work environment. The team leader will assist the Area Manager in cost-saving initiatives, has the authority to manage production operations, address issues, and use measuring instruments to ensure customer requirements are met. Daily team meetings, job assignment rotation, and performance evaluations are also key responsibilities. The position promotes a positive work environment and continuous improvement, ensuring adherence to safety rules, PPE usage, and TS16949 standards. Communication and coordination with other departments and the flow of information are critical. The role also involves coordinating council members to keep teams informed and providing input opportunities. Problem-solving skills and knowledge of the organization's structure, policies, and resources are necessary. The team leader will work with area managers on job assignments, performance, maintenance, and inventory needs, while maintaining cooperative and respectful relationships with all team members.
