About The Position

This role is responsible for supporting the enterprise's mission, vision, and values, and contributing to plant activities aimed at achieving customer awards and quality registrations. The position involves supporting press operators on HTH and SPM improvement, performing audits to ensure proper procedures are followed, and communicating any issues or concerns immediately across functions. The role also assists in achieving quality, productivity, and cost reduction goals, participates in root cause analysis and team problem-solving activities, and is responsible for adhering to all internal and OSHA required safety procedures. Maintaining a positive working relationship, high level of housekeeping, and ensuring all policies are followed and paperwork is completed properly are key aspects of this position. The role requires understanding all Tool & Die functions and assisting in the overall operations of the Tool & Die and press area, ensuring proper communication between shifts for a seamless work activity flow.

Requirements

  • Understanding of all Tool & Die functions
  • Ability to train other colleagues on policies and paperwork completion
  • Adherence to all internal and OSHA required safety procedures
  • Ability to maintain a positive working relationship with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to maintain high level of housekeeping in the work area
  • Knowledge of proper procedure for F/O, L/O, Die setup, Die storage, Last off Q.C checks

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with TS 16949, ISO 14001, TQM
  • Experience with 8D reports

Responsibilities

  • Support the enterprise’s mission, vision, and values in performance of daily activities.
  • Support plant activities towards achieving customer awards and Quality registration (ex. TS 16949, ISO 14001, TQM, etc.)
  • Support press operators on HTH and SPM improvement
  • Perform audits as necessary to ensure press colleagues are following proper procedure (F/O, L/O, Die setup, Die storage, Last off Q.C checks, etc.)
  • Communicate any issues or concerns immediately across functions
  • Assist, as required, plant activities to achieve quality, productivity and cost reduction goals
  • Participate in root cause analysis and team problem solving activities (ex. 8D reports, department meetings, etc.)
  • Responsible for adhering to all internal and OSHA required safety procedures in performing daily work activities.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with all levels of the organization.
  • Maintain high level of housekeeping in the work area.
  • Responsible for ensuring all policies are followed and paperwork completed properly, train other colleagues to do the same
  • Adherence to all company policies and procedures (ex. Quality Policy Manual, Colleague Handbook, etc.)
  • Responsibility for understanding all Tool & Die functions
  • Assist in overall operations of Tool & Die and press area.
  • Ensure proper communication between shifts for a seamless work activity flow by priority.
