About The Position

SCOPE OF POSITION: Responsible for guiding and providing supervision to assigned exempt and non-exempt level staff as they carry out the work of specific projects, programs and activities related to their area(s) of responsibility within AFMC. Answers directly to the department Manager and is accountable for ensuring services are implemented according to strategic directives, contract deliverables, personnel capacity, and fiduciary limits. A supervisor must be able to monitor the staff, lead them in a positive direction, and take corrective action when necessary. Ensures that AFMC’s mission, vision and values are upheld by personal example and leadership.   • Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate health care or social services related discipline.
  • Three (3) years professional experience in behavioral health or social services.
  • One (1) year leadership experience.
  • Reliable, high-speed wireless internet service (Wi-Fi)

Responsibilities

  • Monitors the job performance of assigned staff’s work product(s) and ensures that staff meet performance goals within designated timelines and financial limits.
  • Monitors the activities from the assessment, planning, development, and implementation of specific projects, and assigns tasks to personnel to fulfill contractual or organizational obligations.
  • Collaborates with other supervisors to meet corporate requirements and contractual deliverables.
  • Engages in active problem-solving of activities, events and occurrences that take projects off course and report to manager.
  • Conduct activities that ensure compliance with organizational policies and utilize organizational resources to conduct work according to AFMC standards.
  • Recognize high performers, coach staff as needed, and notify manager of problems as they emerge.
  • Maintain current knowledge of corporate contracts within the area of responsibility.
  • Proactively and continually develop external relationships and promote mutually beneficial partnerships with local, state, and national entities, clients, key stakeholders, constituents, other healthcare organizations and the community at large.
  • Represent the company at external functions upon request.
  • Meet regularly with department manager to stay informed, to offer information and support for inter-departmental projects and to confer on organizational goals, objectives, and policies.
  • Prepare and submit required reports on program progress and performance.
  • Coach assigned staff on job specific regulations and contract requirements.
  • Meet regularly with assigned staff to communicate pertinent information, needs and requests to other team members as appropriate.
  • Follow AFMC, state and federal protocols regarding data confidentiality/security and HIPAA compliance.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
