Interim Director of Pharmacy – Inpatient Hospital
About The Position
Specialty Medical Staffing is currently hiring an Interim Director of Pharmacy / PIC for a hospital assignment in the Logan, Ohio area. This position requires an experienced pharmacist with inpatient, IV, and 340B experience who is comfortable managing pharmacy operations. The assignment starts on March 16, 2026, with a typical schedule of 4x10s. Pharmacy hours are Monday–Friday 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM, and Saturday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM. On-call is required when the pharmacy is closed, typically 1–2 calls per week. A weekend rotation is scheduled every 4th weekend starting March 28, with on-call duties from Friday 6:00 PM through Monday 7:30 AM. The system used is Epic, with training available. Automation includes Pyxis.
Requirements
- Active OH Pharmacist License
- Inpatient pharmacy experience required
- Experience with IVs and 340B
- Ability to work independently in a leadership role
- Background check (BCI and FBI)
- Drug screen
- Quantiferon TB-Gold
- Influenza vaccine
- Copy of driver’s license and Social Security card
- HIPAA Code of conduct review and signed attestation
Responsibilities
- Oversee pharmacy operations as Director of Pharmacy and PIC
- Perform pharmacist staffing duties including order verification and dispensing
- Manage scheduling, meetings, and narcotics ordering
- Participate in sterile compounding and support day-to-day pharmacy operations
