Interim Director of Nursing (DON/DNS)
About The Position
Seeking an Interim Director of Nursing (DON/DNS) for a location in Worcester, Massachusetts. This is a 1099 contractor position described as interim, temporary, and contract work. The role is for a Registered Nurse with nursing leadership experience in long-term care or skilled nursing settings. The Director of Nursing demonstrates strong leadership, leads by example, and is willing to assist across operational levels. The role is accountable for nursing and clinical services, including directing, coordinating, and evaluating nursing care and services to support consistent, quality care. A valid Massachusetts Registered Nurse license is required. Competitive hourly rates and assistance with travel expenses are offered.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited school.
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a current Massachusetts license in good standing.
- Current CPR certification and ICP certification.
- At least five years of experience in a long-term care setting.
- Three to five years of experience as a Director of Nursing.
- Strong knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, and of laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long-term care.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
