Interim Director of Nursing Services
About The Position
Diversicare is seeking an Interim Director of Nursing (RN) to lead the nursing department and promote high-quality care for patients and residents. The role shapes care quality and resident life, advances the nursing department, and supports the facility’s mission. The Director champions Diversicare’s values of trust, respect, customer focus, compassion, diplomacy, appreciation, and strong communication. The position also assumes administrative responsibilities when the Administrator is absent and contributes to department budgeting, staff development, and quality improvement.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license issued by the State Board of Nursing.
- Demonstrated managerial and administrative ability.
- At least two years of supervisory experience.
- Ability to organize and plan programs, assign personnel, and evaluate reports and data to support quality improvement initiatives.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in long-term care or working with geriatric populations.
Responsibilities
- Assume responsibility in the Administrator’s absence, implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance, and collaborate with key stakeholders to maintain best practices.
- Assist in preparing and administering the department budget and ensure efficient resource allocation.
- Recruit, coach, and evaluate nursing staff, supporting continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Analyze and evaluate nursing services and develop systems that promote resident well-being, functional independence, and improved care.
