We are seeking a highly organized and strategic Interim Chief of Staff to provide critical support to our executive leadership team. This pivotal role requires a versatile individual with exceptional communication skills, project management expertise, and the ability to navigate complex situations with discretion and professionalism. The Interim Chief of Staff will serve as a trusted advisor, ensuring efficient operations and effective communication across the organization.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of experience in a senior-level administrative or executive support role; OR 10+ years of experience in a senior-level administrative or executive support role.
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects and delivering high-quality results.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of organizational communication and public relations.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong understanding of Mille Lacs tribal culture and customs.
  • Ability to secure a Gaming Regulatory Authority (GRA) license.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confident and articulate public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and solve complex problems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Responsive/Advisory Work: Deliver dynamic and real-time support, including drafting and reviewing internal and external documents and providing counsel on sensitive issues.
  • Serve as an Articulate & Visible Spokesperson: Act as a primary representative for the CEO’s office as needed, preparing and delivering high-level communications as a confident and visible public speaker.
  • Support Executive Leadership and Coordinate Communication: Coordinate communications and meetings on behalf of CEO and other executives and handle confidential information with discretion. Support the creation and dissemination of talking points, press statements, email communications, memos, op-eds, and speeches, ensuring tone, alignment, and accessibility.
  • Board Liaison: Serve as the principal contact for Board of Directors and Shareholder requests and manage all necessary follow-up to ensure executive alignment.
  • Project Management: Scope, plan, and execute multiple, often quick turnaround projects. Work with appropriate stakeholders to facilitate and deliver required elements.
  • Corporate Resource Management: Responsible for implementation of CEO’s vision for the corporate office budget and resource allocation.
  • People Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing team of associates in the executive office operations, community engagement, and communications areas.
