About The Position

SoFi’s in-house creative studio is seeking an experienced, highly organized Senior Interactive Project Manager to support a comprehensive website redesign focused on improving user experience, optimizing performance, and aligning the site with core product strategy. Reporting to the Director of Project Management, the role serves as a primary liaison among marketing creative and web teams, product marketers, and product design and engineering teams. The position combines rigorous project management and strong communication with technical knowledge of modern web development, including responsive design systems, AI, and API integrations.

The role manages initiatives including a large-scale website redesign from discovery through deployment, implementation of scalable design systems in Figma, interactive front-end content such as animations and dynamic UI components, API connections, CMS customizations, marketing technology integrations, and delivery across in-app, mobile-responsive, and desktop experiences. The project manager defines scope, deliverables, timelines, technical dependencies, and resource needs; oversees design and development workflows; facilitates collaboration and backlog prioritization; communicates project health and dependencies to executive leadership; and assists with quality assurance as needed.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years managing high-stakes interactive, digital, or web development projects.
• Strong working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and web architecture, including comfort inspecting code and understanding how front-end frameworks affect site performance.
• Expert proficiency with project management tools such as Jira or Workfront.
• In-depth familiarity with Figma as the source of truth for design assets.
• Deep understanding of CMS platform ecosystems such as WordPress, Contentful, or Webflow, including custom themes, plugin architecture, and content modeling.
• Direct experience managing projects involving animation tools such as Lottie or Rive and third-party API integrations or AI-driven tools such as Claude Code.
• Proven ability to translate complex technical requirements into actionable project milestones for non-technical stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

• PMP, CSM, or relevant Agile certifications.
• Experience with JavaScript basics or modern front-end libraries.
• Background in a fast-paced agency or fintech environment.
• Familiarity with ADA/accessibility compliance standards for the web.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope, deliverables, and timelines, and develop detailed plans that account for technical dependencies and resource allocation.
• Oversee design and development phases, ensuring code quality meets standards and front-end execution aligns with the original design intent.
• Serve as a liaison between web design, web strategy, engineering, product marketing, and product teams; use WordPress and HTML/CSS knowledge to troubleshoot layout issues, audit implementation, and streamline developer handoffs.
• Coordinate cross-functional partners, organize workflow, prioritize backlogs, and resolve blockers.
• Provide executive leadership with status updates and clear communication about project health, technical challenges, and roadmap dependencies.
• Assist with quality assurance as required.
• Manage projects such as website redesign, design system implementation, interactive content, technical integrations, and cross-platform delivery.
