From creating user flows and wireframes to building mockups and prototypes, you will envision and bring product experiences to life with an inspired, refined, and magical feel. You will join our multi-disciplinary UX team, collaborating with Engineering and Product Management, leveraging user insights to create industry-leading products. As an Interaction Designer, you'll apply user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences from concept to execution, working with design partners to evolve the Google design language to build beautiful, innovative products. As the team powering all Google payment transactions, we design the universal language of digital commerce. Our focus is building a trusted foundation for global economies by ensuring every transaction is secure, intuitive, and seamlessly invisible to the user. Whether it is paying online with Autofill, using tap and pay in stores, or using the Google Pay app, the Payments team at Google is focused on making payments simple, seamless, and secure. In addition to consumer payment technologies, the Payments team also powers the money movement between Google and its consumers and businesses.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
6 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design.

Nice To Haves

Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
3 years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional organization.
2 years of experience leading design projects.
Experience implementing visual design systems across platforms in an iterative software development environment, applying design tools (e.g. Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch).

Responsibilities

Define and advocate the UX vision for purchase experiences (Buyflows) across Google, aligning it with overall product strategy and balancing user and business needs.
Lead and execute UX design from concept to launch and iteration.
Collaborate with UXR to understand user needs and validate designs through testing and iteration.
Develop UX deliverables: user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that are intuitive, engaging, and accessible.
Contribute to and maintain the Platform's design system (Platinum), ensuring consistency and evolving the system where needed to support this new investment area.
