Intelligent Automation Architect

BrightSpring Health Services•Lyndon, KY

About The Position

BrightSpring Health Services is seeking an Intelligent Automation Architect to define target architectures and translate business opportunities into scalable automation, analytics, copilot, and AI solution designs. The architect will lead solutions from concept and architecture through development, deployment, adoption, and operational handoff, with a focus on measurable enterprise outcomes. The role defines the Intelligent Automation and AI North Star, target-state architecture, platform strategy, and multi-year roadmap. It establishes secure, scalable, reusable, and supportable architectures, design principles, integration patterns, and technology standards. The architect selects appropriate technologies—including UiPath, Microsoft Power Platform, Power BI and AI BI, Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure services, APIs, and Agentic AI—based on business value, strategic fit, complexity, risk, and scale. The position partners with business and technology stakeholders to shape priorities, lead discovery and architecture workshops, communicate options and tradeoffs, and mentor teams. It provides delivery governance and technical direction, leads design reviews, manages architectural risks and dependencies, and verifies security, integration, data, performance, responsible AI, maintainability, observability, and supportability. The role defines production-readiness criteria and ensures solutions conform to approved designs and can be sustained at enterprise scale.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience architecting enterprise automation, analytics, copilot, and AI solutions from discovery and architecture through development, deployment, and operational transition.
  • Advanced knowledge of UiPath, including Studio, Orchestrator, queues, assets, libraries, Document Understanding, integrations, and enterprise deployment patterns.
  • Strong architecture and hands-on prototyping experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse, connectors, governance, and application lifecycle management.
  • Experience designing Power BI and AI BI solutions, including semantic models, governed data, dashboards, natural-language analytics, and decision-support use cases.
  • Hands-on experience designing copilots and enterprise assistants with Microsoft Copilot and Copilot Studio, including grounding, plugins, actions, connectors, and security controls.
  • Strong knowledge of Agentic AI architecture, generative AI, model and tool orchestration, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, evaluation, responsible AI, and human oversight.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead end-to-end delivery, define success criteria, manage feasibility and risk, and produce implementation roadmaps, production-ready solutions, and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of Azure services, APIs, event-driven integration, databases, identity and access management, source control, DevOps, monitoring, and secure solution design.
  • Excellent architecture documentation, facilitation, problem-solving, executive communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience architecting intelligent automation and AI solutions in healthcare, pharmacy, revenue cycle, clinical, or other regulated environments.
  • Experience with Azure AI services, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Fabric, Dataverse, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Knowledge of process mining, task mining, intelligent document processing, OCR, and automation opportunity assessment.
  • Experience establishing reference architectures, centers of excellence, platform governance, reusable frameworks, and responsible AI controls.
  • Relevant certifications such as UiPath Solution Architect, UiPath Advanced RPA Developer, Microsoft Power Platform Solution Architect, Power BI Data Analyst, Azure AI Engineer, or Copilot Studio credentials.
  • Familiarity with technology evaluation, vendor assessment, architecture review boards, Agile delivery, backlog management, and production transition practices.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders, mentor engineers and makers, and turn emerging technology into pragmatic, governed enterprise solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Define the Intelligent Automation and AI North Star, target-state architecture, platform strategy, and multi-year roadmap aligned with enterprise priorities.
  • Establish secure, scalable, reusable, and supportable reference architectures, design principles, integration patterns, and technology standards.
  • Translate business capabilities and opportunities into architecture blueprints, solution options, process and data flows, nonfunctional requirements, and implementation roadmaps.
  • Guide the selection and use of UiPath, Microsoft Power Platform, Power BI and AI BI, Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure services, APIs, and Agentic AI based on strategic fit, business value, complexity, risk, and scale.
  • Partner with business leaders, product owners, enterprise architects, security, data, infrastructure, operations, and delivery teams to shape priorities and align solutions with the North Star.
  • Lead discovery and architecture workshops to clarify outcomes, dependencies, risks, design decisions, and participating teams’ responsibilities.
  • Communicate architecture options, tradeoffs, and recommendations to technical and executive stakeholders and build alignment before delivery begins.
  • Mentor architects, developers, makers, analysts, and product teams; promote shared patterns, reusable components, and consistent engineering practices across platforms.
  • Drive solutions from architecture through development, testing, deployment, adoption, and operational handoff while maintaining alignment with the approved design and North Star.
  • Lead architecture checkpoints and design reviews to verify security, integration, data, performance, responsible AI, maintainability, observability, and supportability standards.
  • Provide technical direction to delivery teams, resolve architectural risks and cross-team dependencies, and govern design changes without becoming the primary developer for every solution.
  • Define production-readiness criteria, monitor architectural conformance, and ensure delivered solutions achieve measurable outcomes and can be sustained at enterprise scale.
