About The Position

The Intellectual Property (IP) Coordinator provides operational, administrative, and paralegal support to the IP Team across the company's global patent, trademark, trade-secret, and copyright portfolios. The role is the operational backbone of the IP function — responsible for accurate docketing, deadline management, filings and recordals, invoice and vendor coordination, and reporting — enabling the IP Team to focus on substantive legal and technical work. The IP Coordinator serves as a first point of contact for routine IP inquiries and outside-counsel correspondence, ensures that the IP portfolio management platform is well-maintained and continuously improved, and drives automation of repetitive workflows in line with the company's broader legal-technology and AI strategy. The role reports directly to the Deputy General Counsel – Customer, Technology & IP.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in paralegal studies, business administration, information management, or a related field
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in an IP paralegal, IP operations, or legal operations role, ideally in an in-house legal department or IP-focused law firm supporting a global portfolio.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with global patent and trademark docketing, prosecution workflows, renewals and annuities, recordals, chain of title, and outside-counsel coordination.
  • Demonstrated day-to-day experience as a power user of an established IP portfolio management platform (e.g., FoundationIP, Anaqua, CPA Global/Clarivate IPMS, PatSnap, or comparable); ability to administer, report, and continuously improve the platform is strongly preferred.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future; Clarios will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work visas for this opportunity.
