Integrity Engineer

Producers Midstream•Midland, TX

About The Position

Producers Midstream Management LLC is a private equity-backed midstream service provider based in Dallas, Texas. The Integrity Engineer provides technical leadership and program ownership for plant reliability across company facilities. The role establishes, implements, and maintains the company’s Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) program, including the procedures, schedules, records, and systems needed to manage it effectively. It coordinates with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Safety, and other departments to ensure inspections, preventive maintenance, pressure safety valve testing, emergency shutdown checks, and other reliability-critical work are completed on schedule. Equipment history, inspection findings, and risk data are used to improve asset availability, mechanical integrity, safe performance, and long-term reliability. The position works independently with minimal supervision and provides functional leadership for RBI and plant reliability programs. It coordinates company personnel, contractors, inspectors, and service providers but does not directly supervise employees unless assigned. The role requires travel to plant locations, overnight travel, and availability for overtime or call-outs when needed. Work takes place in both office and industrial plant environments, including possible exposure to adverse weather, confined spaces, hazardous materials, extreme temperatures, and loud machinery.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Risk-Based Inspection principles, mechanical integrity, asset integrity, and reliability-centered maintenance practices.
  • Knowledge of inspection and maintenance requirements for pressure vessels, piping, tanks, pressure safety valves, emergency shutdown systems, rotating equipment, and related plant assets.
  • Knowledge of applicable industry codes, standards, and recommended practices, including relevant API and ASME requirements.
  • Knowledge of common damage mechanisms, corrosion processes, inspection methods, equipment failure modes, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance planning, reliability analysis, root cause analysis, and performance measurement.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively across functions.
  • Proficiency with computers, including MS Office and computerized maintenance management, inspection, or integrity management systems.
  • Ability to develop a plant-wide reliability program and transition it from initial implementation to sustainable day-to-day operation.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound engineering judgment, and manage multiple priorities across geographically dispersed facilities.
  • Ability to build working relationships and coordinate schedules, responsibilities, and follow-up across departments.
  • Ability to analyze inspection, maintenance, and operating data; identify equipment risks and trends; and communicate clear recommendations.
  • Ability to translate technical findings into practical inspection plans, maintenance strategies, procedures, and management reporting.
  • Ability to respond thoughtfully and promptly to high-stress or emergency situations.
  • Ability to travel to plant locations and work in a 24/7 operational environment, including after-hours support or call-outs when required.
  • Valid driver’s license in the state of residency.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Integrity Engineering, or a related engineering discipline is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of reliability, mechanical integrity, inspection, maintenance, or plant engineering experience in gas processing, midstream, petrochemical, refining, or a related industrial environment is preferred.
