About The Position

This position will include research, clinical care, and teaching. There will be 45% academic time, and 55% for clinical care. Clinical care will include patient care at Yahara Integrative Family Medicine Clinic (30%) and/or Science Drive Medical Center (10%). Duties will also include Wingra Clinic consults (5%) and Precepting (10%) as Fellowship Director determines. This position requires work to be done onsite, at a designated campus work location. This is a terminal, 12-month appointment (depending on program). This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years.

Requirements

  • WI medical license by the start date of the position.
  • Completion of a US family medicine residency with adequate primary care experience by the start date of the position.
  • MD or DO, or equivalent required
  • Eligibility to work in the United States on or before the effective date of appointment.
  • Eligibility to work for the full duration of the 12-month appointment.

Responsibilities

  • Teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health.
  • Work in a collegial relationship with other faculty members.
