About The Position

Ekho is revolutionizing online vehicle sales by building the transaction layer that works in-store as well as online. We enable dealers to sell vehicles online, handling complex processes like financing, insurance verification, and state-specific titling and registration. Our platform has already untangled a complex combinatorics problem disguised as county-specific titling and registration, integrating with 50 DMVs. Now, we are enhancing our platform with AI, expanding into cars, and building a seamless transaction experience. As an Integrations Engineer, you will be instrumental in building the framework for all new partner integrations. This role involves working with a diverse range of partners, from modern companies with well-documented APIs to legacy systems that require more unconventional data extraction methods. You will navigate various domains including insurance, lending, state government, inventory, payments, and OEMs. The work requires creative yet cautious development, as partners are regulated entities. A significant part of the role involves identifying opportunities to leverage AI for automating repetitive integration tasks.

Requirements

AI-pilled: actively prototyping with AI tools like Claude Code, running agents, and automating repetitive tasks.
Low ego and high slope: willing to take on new challenges and learn new things.
Coachable and receptive to feedback.
Comfortable working independently on projects, often paired with the partnerships lead.
Problem-solver mentality, with energy and curiosity valued over deep prior specialization in integrations.
Ability to build creatively but cautiously, accounting for partner relationships and industry sensitivities.
Willingness to work long hours when the work is valuable.
Experience with React, Node.js (serverless), Express.js, NoSQL.
Familiarity with tools such as GCP, Firebase, Retool, Stripe, and various SaaS platforms.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in the integrations domain.
Backgrounds from health tech, embedded systems, or non-software fields are considered valuable.

Responsibilities

Build the framework Ekho uses for every new partner integration going forward.
Develop integrations across diverse domains: insurance, lending, state government, inventory, payments, and OEMs.
Handle integrations with modern partners with well-documented APIs, including those building dedicated infrastructure for Ekho.
Manage integrations with legacy systems, including those requiring login credentials and structured email parsing.
Apply the adapter pattern for repetitive integration tasks and identify opportunities for AI to absorb this repetition.
Build integrations creatively but cautiously, considering partner relationships and industry sensitivities as partners are regulated entities.
Collaborate with the partnerships lead on day-to-day integration projects.
Contribute to architectural decisions, ownership boundaries, and naming conventions within the engineering team.
