About The Position

Apple E-Business Services is seeking a hands-on Integration Software Engineer to develop highly scalable integration platforms. The role focuses on designing and building Java-based B2B infrastructure-as-code components using technologies such as object storage and NoSQL databases. The engineer will build frameworks that process high-volume transactions with Apple’s partners and help scale and enhance Apple’s B2B platforms. The position also involves improving availability and consistency for applications deployed across multiple data centers and cloud providers, and collaborating with project developers, operations teams, and systems engineers.

Requirements

• More than 2 years of experience building frameworks using middleware such as Apache Camel.
• More than 8 years of Java programming experience building middleware or backend applications.
• More than 5 years of experience using Java frameworks such as Spring.
• Strong object-oriented design and analysis skills.
• More than 5 years of experience with Oracle or similar relational databases and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
• More than 5 years of experience designing and building scalable, reliable solutions using distributed systems architecture.
• Knowledge of HTTP/S, TCP, DNS, and web application load balancing.
• Strong conceptual understanding of the operating environment, including the JVM, operating systems, file systems, and network protocols.
• Deep understanding of security concepts and protocols, including authentication, authorization, signing, encryption, SSL/TLS, SSH/SFTP, PKI, X509 certificates, and PGP.
• Hands-on experience tuning application and database performance.
• Knowledge of a scripting language such as bash or Perl.
• Working experience with Agile development methodology.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop frameworks that process high-volume transactions with Apple’s partners.
• Use sound judgment and technical leadership to drive enhancements and scale B2B platforms.
• Develop solutions to optimize availability and consistency for applications deployed across multiple data centers and cloud providers.
• Develop and enhance frameworks for persistence, event processing, uniqueness, transaction correlation, and notifications.
• Work closely with domain-specific project developers, operations teams, and systems engineers.
• Lead large projects focused on innovation, teamwork, and results.
