About The Position

Pratt & Whitney's Compression Systems Engineering (CSE) Mod Center’s Engineering Support to Operations (ESTO) Organization is looking for an Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead for the Commercial Static Parts Family team. This role supports parts and engines in production to improve producibility of hardware, address non-conformances to requirements, provide technical guidance to supplier transitions and cold starts, ensuring customer safety, affordability, and reliability of our engines.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 8 years of engineering experience, or an Advanced degree in a related field and 5 years of engineering experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Proven experience within the Aerospace industry, with a highly desirable focus on jet engine architecture and propulsion systems.
  • Demonstrated technical background in gas turbine components, specifically involving cases, fan modules, and/or compressor sections.
  • Advanced working knowledge of PLM and ERP tools, specifically Teamcenter and SAP, for managing engineering data and hardware lifecycles.
  • Proficiency in MS Project or equivalent scheduling software to track IPT milestones, critical paths, and deliverables; Mastery of the MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for technical documentation, data analysis, and executive-level presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Static Frames, Cases, and Actuations IPT for commercial engine in the “cold” or Forward section of the engines, serving as the technical authority to deliver project milestones and presenting high-stakes status/technical briefings to ESTO Leadership and Pratt & Whitney executive management.
  • Orchestrate cross-functional collaboration between CIPTs (Component Integrated Product Teams), Metallurgy, and Design to lead multi-disciplinary teams in delivering technical solutions that satisfy rigorous safety, life-cycle, and SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) requirements.
  • Synchronize multi-disciplinary analyses for print changes and Engineering First Piece Reviews (EFPRs), driving technical dispositions for non-conforming hardware and supplier transitions to optimize producibility and advance engineering standard work.
  • Cultivate a high-performing engineering culture by providing technical mentorship and project coaching to structures engineers at all career levels, ensuring the continuous professional development of the team and the evolution of department-wide technical expertise.
  • Serve as the primary technical authority and IPT focal point to approve engineering documentation, lead root cause hardware field investigations, and manage program budgets while executing Class 2 engineering changes and proactive risk mitigation plans.
