About The Position

This Staff Integrated Program Planner position provides planning/scheduling support for the Skunk Works® Program. Program Planning at Lockheed Martin is integral to Program Management & Enterprise Performance, organizing tasks for mission success, scheduling design, development, and sustainability of products. It breaks down products into tasks, sets sequences & durations, ensuring on-time, in-budget, desired quality outcomes. Aeronautical program planning is an exciting process that combines creativity, science, and technology to create amazing machines that enable humans to explore and travel in the air and beyond!

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizen
  • Interim Secret Security Clearance; ability to obtain and maintain Secret Security Clearance
  • Bachelors degree
  • 5+ years of professional experience in operational planning or scheduling
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Proficient with scheduling tools such as Open Plan, Primavera, MS Project, or ProjectView
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving abilities
  • Experienced at developing/maintaining Network Schedules including integrity checks, critical path analysis, and Schedule Risk Analysis
  • Proposal experience
  • Experience analyzing planning metrics and trends and implement actionable improvement plans
  • Experiences delivering project briefings to internal and external customers
  • Experiences with Earned Value Management (EVM) including Cost / Schedule Integration
  • Demonstrated team building skills
  • Demonstrated influencing and relationship management skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a planning team lead and/or contract planner
  • iPlan experience
  • Strong knowledge of LM Program Performance Management (PPM) Command Media
  • Supplier integration experience, performance analysis, and corrective action recommendation skills
  • Familiarity with Risk and Opportunity Management, including identification, integration, and mitigation
  • Deep knowledge of Deltek Open Plan
  • Schedule Risk Assessment (SRA) experience
  • Prior Aerospace experience.

Responsibilities

  • Self-starter and relationship builder supporting an integrated team within the Skunk Works® Program various platforms to ensure successful program execution and performance, including all aspects of a validated Earned Value Management system.
  • Shared responsibility for schedule baseline management and control as well as assisting in monthly variance analysis.
  • Development and maintenance of schedules.
  • Integrate and assess schedule impacts of proposed work on both existing and future plans.
  • Develop/refine knowledge of Critical Path Methodology and how to apply it in schedule network development and analysis.
  • Interact across a variety of program functional organizations such as engineering, procurement, contracts, business management, production and quality control.
  • Active participant in the evaluation of program and project planning and scheduling products and practices and will be instrumental in the resultant remediation activities upon identification of gaps.
