About The Position

Raytheon Engineering designs, produces, and builds new technologies and enhances existing capabilities to solve our customer's most complex challenges. The Apertures and Radio Frequency Department is a team of engineers responsible for electrical design and development of RF products within Raytheon. Our charter is to provide expertise in sub-systems engineering, RF and radome design, digital apertures, antenna ranges and module test.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience to include any combination of the following: Design or test experience in one or more of the following: Systems engineering, Arrayed antennas, Monolithic microwave integrated circuits, Radio Frequency (RF) modules, Beam forming architectures, Power and Thermal, Beam control firmware/software
  • Experience with Active Electronically Scanned Arrays (AESAs)
  • Experience with leading multi-disciplinary project teams through structured systems engineering, integration, and test activities and detailed planning to achieve on-time/on-schedule execution.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

  • Experience interfacing with technical engineers, production personnel and support personnel.
  • Presenting to upper-level management.
  • Providing leadership to drive tasks to completion to support budget and schedule

Responsibilities

  • Lead a multi-disciplined project team in Radio Frequency (RF) design and development activities.
  • Problem solving production and test issues
  • Manage design and production budget and program schedule
  • Prepare and present technical issues for program leadership and customer briefings
  • Work with a highly motivated, multi-disciplined, and experienced team of engineers and factory personnel
