About The Position

The Boeing Company, Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking an Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead (Level 4 or 5) to join the Business Transformation Team in El Segundo, CA. In this role, you will lead others and direct phases of cross-organizational projects, with oversight and management responsibility for multiple projects supporting organizational goals. You will demonstrate proficiency in all project management areas, maintain performance management, and associated reporting. Your responsibilities will include developing program organizational and work structures, top-level program and execution plans, and facilitating issue resolution. You will also support senior leadership, common products managers, capability leaders, subsidiary leaders, and program managers in leading program execution by coordinating program metrics and integrating the implementation of Program Management Best Practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • 5+ years’ experience in program or project management
  • 3+ years of experience developing and maintaining integrated resource-loaded project schedules, including the use of project management tools and software such as Microsoft Project, Milestones, Primavera, Open Plan Professional, etc
  • Experience working in a cross functional environment
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret/SCI Clearance Post-Start is required.

  • More than 5 years of experience managing project schedules and utilizing standard project management tools

Responsibilities

  • Develops, integrates and analyzes integrated cost, schedule, technical, and risk management plans for Overhead, Bulk, and Capital
  • Maintain Budgets, Estimates at Completion, Weekly status & Variances to Plan.
  • Functions as the primary project contact to identify key project schedules and updates
  • Leads planning efforts to determine impacts and constraints involving product development, production rates, process improvement and business transformation initiatives
  • Coordinate with programs and capabilities to optimize affordability, rate stability, modernizing capital throughout the portfolio and participate in or lead weekly reviews
  • Defines required resources from engineering, operations, and supplier management to build cross functional relationships to execute priorities.
  • Drives weekly working meetings to ensure assigned individuals are executing the identified and assigned tasks and providing required status, tracking and reporting.
  • Develop charts for performance reviews, perform project close-out, culminating with lessons learned return on investment for incorporation across the portfolio
  • Provides in-depth analysis of project(s) as well as projected and historical reports for incorporation into future product/project plans
  • Provides assessment of team and team member performance to appropriate management
  • Cultivates solutions to complex problems that require ingenuity and innovation
