About The Position

Raytheon's Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) strategic business unit (SBU) is seeking a Senior Principal Engineer to serve as a Command, Telemetry, Control (CTC) Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) for the M2C2 program. This role is based at our Aurora, Colorado campus. The primary responsibilities include leading the CTC component through planning, development, integration, and testing, ensuring scheduled milestones are met or exceeded. The IPTL will also be accountable for the component's cost, schedule, and technical performance baseline, ensuring technical integration of CTC component products for each delivery. This position involves direct collaboration with Program leadership, Systems and Software Teams, other IPTLs, and external stakeholders to execute a multi-million-dollar sub-contract. This is an onsite role.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
  • Experience leading engineering teams on Defense / Intelligence programs.
  • Experience in managing large teams (>30 ppl).
  • Experience driving cost, schedule, and technical performance.
  • Experience providing technical Systems Engineering plans and ensuring consistency across an integrated product team.
  • Experience with Agile and DevOps Development.
  • Experience workings with all levels of a Program, customers, and technical leads such as IPTLs, Chief Engineers, System Architects, etc.
  • Technical and programmatic leadership experience.
  • Experience preparing and presenting executive level presentations and communications
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Command & Control Systems and Components.
  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).
  • Experience with onboarding new work, proposals, and Basis of Estimate (BOE) development.
  • Experience in Systems Engineering functions including Technical Performance Measurement (TPM), operations concept development, requirements management, technical risk management, interface definition and control.
  • Experience leading across geographical sites, subcontractors, and associate contractor companies.
  • Advanced STEM Degree highly preferred.
  • Development and/or Management experience on large software government contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for execution of the CTC component within cost and schedule.
  • Responsible for innovation with respect to modernizing the CTC software baseline.
  • Develop and hire staff to execute the CTC component.
  • Provide strategic leadership on new methods to implement and deploy to operations CTC baseline with a low-risk approach.
  • Work with members of the senior management team to support and implement the organization’s business strategies.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on scope definition and cost estimation.
  • Prepare and present technical briefs to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work in an Agile program environment.
  • Work in a classified lab on site in Aurora, Colorado.
