About The Position

The Boeing Company's Defense, Space and Security (BDS) Integrated Planning & Scheduling (IP&S) team is seeking a Mid-Level Integrated Planning & Scheduling Specialist in Huntsville, AL. This role requires demonstrated analytical capability, excellent communication skills, and the ability to interface with multiple cross-functional peers and managers. Key attributes for success include flexibility, initiative, detail orientation, and a willingness to learn in a dynamic environment. The specialist will prepare, integrate, analyze, and maintain comprehensive plans and schedules for proposals, projects, and major initiatives using tools like Microsoft Project or Open Plan Professional (OPP). Responsibilities include conducting studies and analyses across programs and business units to assess impacts, constraints, and strategies related to product development, production rates, and process improvements, as well as developing production schedules for parts and assemblies. While BRAIDSS experience is preferred, training will be provided for the right candidate. The role involves collaboration with various programs and functions at other BDS sites across the US, identifying, analyzing, and reporting on schedule performance variances, conducting risk and opportunity analyses, and proposing solutions to management. The specialist will also work with internal customers to create and document performance recovery plans and analyze program scenarios to assess the impact of proposed schedule changes on Supply Chain and Fabrication using tools like Assurance of Supply (AoS) Bom Simulation and MPS Change Simulation. This position is expected to be 100% onsite.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 1+ years of experience working with and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Applications
  • Experience with MRP (Material Requirements Planning)

Nice To Haves

  • BRAIDSS experience is preferred, but will train the right candidate
  • Experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
  • Experience using Integrated Scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project, Open Plan Professional (OPP), Primavera, etc.

Responsibilities
