About The Position

Boeing Space Mission Systems is seeking a Senior or Lead Integrated Planning & Scheduling Specialist (Level 4 or 5) to join the Strategic Satellite Communications Programs (SSCP) program team in El Segundo, CA. This role will support Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) Government Satellite Proprietary Programs. The ideal candidate will understand the importance of leadership and user experience in all aspects of government program schedules, including production, development, agile software programs, and Project Server portfolio management, to achieve organizational goals. As a member of the Integrated Planning & Scheduling (IP&S) team, you will be responsible for developing proposal plans and schedules, establishing baseline execution schedules, maintaining in-work schedules, conducting critical path analysis and what-if planning, and supporting the delivery of Integrated Program Management Report (IPMR) Format 6 deliverables. You will participate in all IP&S activities, executing roles to provide actionable, value-added products to customers, including Portfolio Management (architecting and leading portfolio networking in Project Server), Program Planning (developing initial planning products like IMP, WBS, Master Phasing Schedule), Program Scheduling (developing the Integrated Master Schedule - IMS), Detailed Scheduling & Change Management (developing and maintaining lower-level schedules), Change Integration (managing change integration teams), and Project Management (leading key program initiatives to improve execution).

Requirements

• 5+ years of Project or Program management experience
• 5+ years of experience developing and integrating program-level master schedules
• Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
• Experience leading a team or a project
• Experience using Integrated Scheduling tools such as: Open Plan Professional, Microsoft Project Professional, Enterprise Project Management, or a similar tool
• Strong communication skills
• Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
• Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. A “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

• OPP scheduling tool experience
• Experience working with large data sets required (e.g. advanced Excel, Power Pivot, Tableau and/or Microsoft Power BI)

Responsibilities

• In charge of the program Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).
• Serve as the technical lead for the IP&S team in developing, integrating, and maintaining the IMS reporting to the Program Management team.
• Supplier scheduling integration, analysis, and review.
• Work closely with the Integrated Product Team Leads, to ensure alignment and integration of the Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) with other key program plans and schedules (e.g. Integrated Master Plan (IMP), Master Phasing Plan, Critical Path Analysis, High-Level Flow (HLF)).
• Accountable for schedule compliance, assessment of schedule risk, identification of opportunities (including schedule margin planning).
• Provide robust/actionable performance reporting from the IMS to support and drive program management understanding and action.
• Lead the integration of supplier and partner plans and schedules into the IMS to ensure the whole team is operating collaboratively.
• Model driving program execution through quick turn generation of prospective schedule performance analyses, recovery/alternate scenario planning, and improved schedule visibility/visualization.
• Support reviews and brief senior leadership and customers.
