About The Position

The Boeing Company's Defense, Space and Security (BDS) Integrated Planning & Scheduling (IP&S) team is seeking a Mid-Level Integrated Planning & Scheduling Specialist for their Huntsville, AL location. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional peers and management. The ideal candidate will be flexible, proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities include preparing, integrating, analyzing, and maintaining comprehensive plans and schedules for proposals, projects, and major initiatives using tools like Microsoft Project or Open Plan Professional (OPP). The specialist will also conduct impact, constraint, and strategy analyses across programs and business units, develop production schedules, and collaborate with various BDS programs and functions across the US. Additionally, the role involves identifying, analyzing, and reporting on schedule performance variances, conducting risk and opportunity analyses, proposing solutions, and creating performance recovery plans. The position also requires analyzing program scenarios to assess the impact of schedule changes on Supply Chain and Fabrication using tools like Assurance of Supply (AoS) Bom Simulation and MPS Change Simulation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 1+ years of experience working with and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Applications
  • Experience with MRP (Material Requirements Planning)
  • Must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • BRAIDSS experience is preferred, but not necessary as we will train the right candidate.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
  • Experience using Integrated Scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project, Open Plan Professional (OPP), Primavera, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, integrate, analyze, and maintain comprehensive plans and schedules for proposals, projects, and major initiatives to achieve objectives using tools such as Microsoft Project or Open Plan Professional (OPP).
  • Conduct studies and analyses across programs and business units to assess impacts, constraints, and strategies related to product development, production rates, and process improvements.
  • Develop production schedules for parts / assemblies.
  • Collaborate with various programs and functions at other BDS sites across the US.
  • Identify, analyze, and report on schedule performance variances.
  • Conduct risk and opportunity analyses, and propose solutions to management.
  • Work with internal customers to create performance recovery plans and document them as needed.
  • Analyze program scenarios to assess the impact of proposed schedule changes on Supply Chain and Fabrication using tools such as Assurance of Supply (AoS) Bom Simulation and MPS Change Simulation.
