About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Integrated Planning and Scheduling (IP&S) Specialist (Level 2 or 3) to join the Attack Helicopter Programs in Mesa, Arizona. The candidate must have demonstrated analytical capability and excellent communication skills with the ability to interface with a variety of stakeholders. The candidate must be a proactive self-starter and work well within a team environment. Flexibility, initiative, detail orientation, ability to multi-task and willingness to learn new areas are essential requirements to successfully perform in this dynamic and exciting environment.

Requirements

  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Applications
  • Experience in at least one of the following areas: finance, scheduling, industrial engineering, change management, strategy, business support services, program management, project management and/or business operations role
  • A “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.
  • Associate Level 2: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+1 years' related work experience, 7 years' related work experience, etc.)
  • Experienced Level 3: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Integrated Scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project, Open Plan, Professional, Primavera, etc.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher

Responsibilities

  • Preparation, development, and coordination of integrated plans and team schedules to meet program and/or project requirements.
  • Development of program plans and schedules, and coordinates with affected organizations, documents, work statements and resulting schedules.
  • Produces and analyzes metrics for plans and schedules.
  • Integration of program plans and schedules, horizontally and vertically, across company functions, product groups, suppliers, and partners of moderate complexity.
  • Identifies, reports and analyzes performance variances.
  • Develops schedules and supports change incorporation plans related to Integrated Scheduling products.
  • Reviews proposed changes to the baseline.
  • Independently develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains an integrated plan and schedule to meet program and/or project requirements in accordance with project management industry standards.
  • Performs studies, analysis (trend, variance, impact), risk assessments to determine impacts, and constraints involving product development, production rates, process improvement, program initiatives.
  • Creates schedule, reports, metrics, change activity, communicates and updates plan regularly throughout lifecycle of program or project.
  • Works to improve project management processes, business systems, and implement best practices that support project decision makers.
  • Directs all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion.
  • Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives.
  • Assists customers to develop performance recovery plan and ensure all project control systems are in place to support ongoing support to stakeholders.
