About The Position

KBR's National Security Solutions team provides high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions to customers in the intelligence and national security communities. This position supports the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) C-130J Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Office. The role involves developing and maintaining program and project schedules, working with multiple C-130 Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) on acquisition, modification, logistics, sustainment, and maintenance programs. The individual will integrate project schedules into a higher-level schedule reflecting program and project interdependencies. This role requires operating independently, collaborating with Logistics, Engineering, and Program Management functional teams to assist with planning, managing, and coordinating C-130J FMS program and project execution. The position involves applying scheduling knowledge to assist the government in developing program and project schedules, integrating multiple schedules, performing schedule risk analysis, building projections of schedule outcomes, and developing reports or presentations. The role also includes providing schedule-related support to assigned IPTs by attending recurring program meetings, building project, program, and integrated top-level schedules, and providing reports to key program stakeholders on schedule health, contractor schedule performance, and projections of schedule outcomes. The incumbent will support Program Management Reviews (PMRs), design reviews, Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs), and Schedule Risk Assessments (SRAs), communicating findings through briefings, written reports, and verbal communication. The role requires working with cross-functional teams to integrate disparate activities and milestones into schedule models and performing a range of program management activities such as gathering program information, conducting analyses, developing program strategies, milestone planning, tracking, and scheduling, and establishing/maintaining schedule databases.

Requirements

  • At least 15 years of experience directly related to the position.
  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, management, business administration or related field. (Additional experience may be considered sufficient to satisfy the degree requirement).
  • Must possess a Secret security clearance or higher.
  • Experience in DoD or USAF organizations creating schedules for acquisition and logistics/maintenance functions.
  • Demonstrated competence with Microsoft Project, Powerpoint, Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of current USAF acquisition processes, milestones, policies and procedures.
  • Understanding of interrelationships between acquisition activities, program documentation and program milestones.
  • Experience supporting DoD ACAT I/II/III acquisition programs.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to travel out of local area 5-10% of calendar year if needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Comprehensive experience and knowledge of analyzing and integrating schedules using scheduling software, including MS Projects.
  • Comprehensive experience and knowledge of developing schedules for presentations, translating MS Project and other schedule data into more suitable forms for easy visualization.
  • Comprehensive experience and knowledge of identifying major milestones, decision points, project lifecycle and project events.
  • Comprehensive experience and knowledge of developing, maintaining, and integrating project plans into project and program schedule models.
  • Comprehensive experience and knowledge of Air Force Material Command and Air Force Life Cycle Management Center policies, processes, and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining program and project schedules.
  • Working with multiple C-130 Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) on acquisition, modification, logistics, sustainment and maintenance programs and/or projects.
  • Developing schedules for assigned projects and integrating them into a higher-level schedule reflecting program and project interdependencies.
  • Assisting with the planning, managing, and coordination of C-130J FMS program and project execution.
  • Applying scheduling knowledge to perform tasks related to planning, development, implementation, and management of a comprehensive, affordable, and effective system modernization and support strategy.
  • Assisting the government in developing program and project schedules, integrating multiple schedules, performing schedule risk analysis, building projections of schedule outcomes, and developing reports or presentations.
  • Providing schedule-related support to assigned IPTs by attending recurring program meetings.
  • Building project, program and integrated top-level schedules for use in program reviews and other management briefings.
  • Providing reports to key program stakeholders on schedule health and construction, contractor schedule performance, and projections of schedule outcomes.
  • Supporting Program Management Reviews (PMRs), design reviews, Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs), and Schedule Risk Assessments (SRAs).
  • Communicating all findings to management through briefings, written reports and verbal communication.
  • Working with cross-functional teams to integrate disparate activities and milestones into schedule models.
  • Employing integration, communication, coordination, organizational, and planning expertise to technical and acquisition efforts across several functional disciplines.
  • Performing a range of program management activities, such as gathering program information, conducting analyses, developing program strategies, milestone planning, tracking, and scheduling, and establishing and maintaining schedule databases.
