About The Position
The Strait Regional Centre for Education (SRCE) is seeking qualified teachers for Integrated LA & Integrated Math positions. The SRCE is part of the public education system in Nova Scotia, established to support student learning, achievement, well-being, and overall success. With approximately 1,166 employees, the SRCE operates 20 schools and pre-primary programs across the counties of Antigonish, Guysborough, Inverness, and Richmond. This role is based at the Antigonish Education Centre.
Requirements
- Valid teacher certification for the Province of Nova Scotia.
- Methodology courses, experience, or practicum teaching in the subject area(s) at the appropriate level for the competition.
- Excellent classroom and student management skills.
- Knowledge and experience in the application of technologies used to enhance instruction and learning.
- Knowledge and/or experience in implementing inclusive teaching and assessment strategies.
- Knowledge of inter-disciplinary planning is a requirement.
- Must provide at least three (3) work-related references, one of which must be your most recent supervisor.
- Must provide a current (within the last 6 months), and clear Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Search and Child Abuse Registry prior to employment.
