Our Health Center team is currently searching for a pleasant, personable, and empathetic individual for the position of Integrated Health Medical Assistant (MA) for our Integrated Health office. This MA will be responsible for clinical support for our prescribers and nurses within the clinic for the wellbeing of our patients. This highly visible role will be providing services in person as well as over the phone/fax/letters/emails. In a trauma-informed manner, under the delegation of a licensed provider, the MA will collect patient data, vital signs, perform medication reconciliation, perform patient check-out, how the patient is managing the treatment plan and, document in the electronic health record.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Current Medical Assistant diploma, and/or certification from accredited Medical Assistant program required.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a Medical Assistant.
  • Health Clinic experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with medication administration including injections.
  • Demonstrated ability providing patient education.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical setting
  • Ability to frequently sit in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to frequently stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to frequently use hands/fingers to type on computer keyboard and operate general office equipment, such as phone and copier.
  • Ability to occasionally ascend/descend stairs as necessary.
  • Ability to occasionally drive.

Responsibilities

  • Collecting and updating patient registration, vital signs and other related information for our electronic health record.
  • Coordinating services with internal and external providers.
  • Providing patient education as necessary.
  • Performing medication administration including vaccines and other injections, urine collection and toxicology screens, routine lab draws/phlebotomy.
  • Performing all treatments and procedures specific to health care services.
