Integrated Case Worker III

CalHR•Susanville, CA

About The Position

Under general supervision, the Integrated Case Worker III provides expert guidance to case-carrying staff and performs advanced public assistance eligibility, employment services, and specialized case management work. The role serves as a lead worker and expert resource, may carry a limited caseload of complex cases, and assists the unit supervisor in guiding staff. Incumbents work independently within established guidelines and help clients move from dependency toward self-sufficiency within prescribed time limits. The position includes eligibility work, employment-services appraisal and assessment, employment-plan development, and specialized case management. It also supports management in developing, implementing, and applying employment-services policies, procedures, and methodologies, and assists with staff training. Unlike the Eligibility Specialist series, this role combines public assistance eligibility determinations with basic employability services. Unlike the Employment & Training Worker series, its primary focus is not the full scope of employability services. Incumbents typically receive supervision from a Supervising Integrated Case Worker or Human Services Supervisor I, and may also receive supervision from an Employment and Training Supervisor or Social Worker Supervisor. The role has no formal supervisory responsibility but may provide lead direction to other Integrated Case Workers.
