The Integrated Behavioral Health Therapist provides integrative psychotherapy services to individuals, children, and families within a collaborative healthcare setting. This role delivers comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment and counseling for mental, emotional, social, and behavioral concerns, with particular attention to patients experiencing chronic or life‑threatening medical conditions. The therapist supports patients in developing effective coping strategies for stress, grief, and loss, and facilitates meaningful, sustainable behavioral change that supports overall health and well‑being. Care is delivered using evidence‑based and integrative therapeutic approaches aligned with patient‑centered, whole‑person care. Working as a core member of an interdisciplinary care team, the therapist partners closely with physicians, medical providers, care coordinators, and administrative staff to support integrated treatment planning and coordinated care delivery. The therapist serves as the primary behavioral health resource for the clinical team, offering consultation, clinical insight, and guidance related to mental health care needs. The position also collaborates with fellow psychotherapists to implement, support, and sustain best practices in integrated behavioral health care, including brief interventions, health behavior change strategies, and mind‑body approaches such as guided imagery when appropriate. The therapist remains current with research and evolving best practices in behavioral health and integrative medicine to ensure high‑quality, evidence‑based, and culturally responsive care. This role will be based embedded in a primary care clinic, providing short-term, solution-focused behavioral health care in 3-5 sessions.
