About The Position

Join our team at Cedar Hills Hospital as an Intake Therapist and learn how you can make a lasting difference in your community! At Cedar Hills, our team of board-certified psychiatrists, physicians, licensed therapists, and nursing staff provide individualized, continuum of care treatment for adults 18 and over. This position is per diem, requiring a minimum of four 12-hour shifts per month, either day (7am-7:30pm) or night (7:00pm-7:30am). Requirements

• Master’s degree in social services or related field.
• One or more years’ experience in psychiatric hospital or similar setting with intake assessment activities within an acute psychiatric setting preferred.
• Licensed to practice in the State of Oregon as an LMSW, LCSW, LPC or related licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Taking inquiry calls, crisis calls, assisting in setting up assessment appointments, or assisting with referrals to other appropriate treatment resources.
• Providing assessment evaluations, determining level of care, making treatment recommendations and providing full risk assessment and safety planning.
• Providing initial insurance pre-certifications and providing accurate clinical information to obtain insurance authorization.
