About The Position

This position provides Intake Services to individuals seeking services at the Charleston Center. Continuation of employment in this position is contingent upon availability of funding from service, program and agency earnings. As this position is often the first contact the general public has with this agency, excellent customer service skills and professional presentation are essential.

Requirements

  • High school diploma (or GED) supplemented by one (1) year experience in an administrative position.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare experience preferred.
  • Experience with the use of Microsoft Word, Access and Excel preferred.
  • Bilingual candidate highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Provides coverage on the agency's helpline, providing information and screenings to the general public, calling and seeking information and/or services.
  • Generates an electronic health record.
  • Explains and obtains signatures on releases of information and forms allowing treatment to be provided.
  • Collects insurance or other payer information.
  • Provides assistance to patients coming in for Withdrawal Management and Residential Services.
