About The Position

This is specialized work through the process of interviewing a participant and making the determination of eligibility by the completion of the required participant records. Work would include, but not necessarily be limited to, interviewing applicants, making eligibility determination confirmation and completing and maintaining the required legal documents and client files. All information is then entered on the computer so support case can be active.

Requirements

  • PC knowledge
  • Considerable knowledge of business grammar, spelling, math and practices.
  • Develop skills necessary to operate computer base.
  • Ability to work and make decisions.
  • Ability to accurately complete and type records and legal documents required.
  • Knowledge of office procedures, practices and general office equipment
  • Knowledge of current economic and social factors and their effects on individuals.
  • Ability to interpret eligibility criteria in a uniform and impartial manner.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with participants, associates and the general public. This ability is needed to facilitate control with parties under stress.
  • Knowledge of the primary practices of conducting interviews.
  • Possession of the required knowledge and abilities accompanied by a High School Diploma or equivalency.

Responsibilities

  • Interviews and assesses program applicants and secures demographic data needed for the completion of required legal documents.
  • Checks and verifies eligibility as program mandates on potential participants
  • Verifies information provided, when necessary.
  • Implements and maintains information as needed in the central tracking system.
  • Prepares appropriate forms and records on participants including but not necessary limited to legal documents, application, status changes, file cards and any other pertinent enrollment date and file maintenance as required.
  • Prepares summary and special reports
  • Does the necessary research to locate whereabouts of missing parties.
  • Receives and processes the required legal documents from other counties, states and attorneys.
  • Performs related work and support services as required.
  • Attends annual conferences, seminars and training sessions, as required by the department head.
