About The Position
West Oaks Hospital is seeking an Intake Registered Nurse (RN) to coordinate incoming patient assessments with Intake Patient Access Representatives and Intake Assessors, coordinate physician assessments, and initiate the admission process. The role also provides technical assistance with discharge planning under the direction of the Director of Intake Services. The position is based at West Oaks Hospital, a 176-bed acute care facility offering behavioral health programs for children, adolescents, and adults.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing through an ADN, diploma, or BSN program.
- Current Texas State Registered Nurse licensure.
- CPR certification.
- Hospital de-escalation certification.
Nice To Haves
- Two years of inpatient psychiatric nursing and/or medical/surgical experience.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate assessments of incoming patients with Intake Patient Access Representatives and Intake Assessors.
- Coordinate physicians’ assessments.
- Initiate the admission process.
