About The Position

Under the direction of the Director of Assessments and Referrals, the Intake Nurse (RN) is responsible to screen patient admissions and communicate information to the physician to determine if patient meets level of care. This position works closely with nursing department, clinical staff and Intake department to ensure timely admission of patients. This position will contribute to department meetings, quality initiatives and maintain services within TJC requirements.

Requirements

RN required
Licensed in the state in which the hospital resides
BLS required
Crisis management certification per hospital policy and standards required
Understanding of behavioral healthcare and freestanding industry
Experience in interviewing
Experience in assessments
Experience in patient-family centered care
Experience with requirements for admission based on established hospital criteria

Nice To Haves

2-3 years of experience in admissions preferred
