We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Intake/Discharge Coordinator to join our team. The Intake/Discharge Coordinator will be responsible for handling patient intake and discharge processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all aspects of the role. Requirements

  • Familiarity with medical scheduling software and phone systems
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance standards
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a Medical Receptionist, Dental Receptionist, or similar role is a plus
  • Front desk experience in an ER or medical facility is beneficial

Responsibilities

  • Manage patient intake/discharge procedures and ensure all necessary information is accurately recorded
  • Coordinate with medical staff to schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
  • Verify insurance information and communicate coverage details to patients
  • Answer phone calls and address patient inquiries in a professional and timely manner
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines at all times
  • Assist in maintaining medical records and updating patient files as needed
