About The Position

The Intake Coordinator performs a variety of tasks to support high customer satisfaction in a cost-effective manner. The Intake Counselor screens callers contacting AGMC’s Behavioral Health Unit by phone to determine whether they may be admitted or should be referred to community resources. The role also coordinates admissions to inpatient services and requires good phone skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Good phone skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• At least 1 year of inpatient psychiatric experience, either working on a psychiatric unit and/or handling intake calls for inpatient psychiatric hospitalization.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma.
