The Intake Coordinator provides a single point of entry for in-patient intake. Duties include phone triage, addressing requests for services, performing patient call backs, and documenting all call activities. They answer inquiry calls about hospital services and bed availability, perform pre-registration, collect all pertinent data, verify insurance eligibility, and coordinate with the insurance company. This role facilitates and coordinates assessment and/or intake to facility services when appropriate and maintains communication between the organization and patient referrals and family.
