Full-Time Overnight Intake Clinician
About The Position
Prairie St. John's is seeking a full-time Needs Assessment Intake Clinician for their new state-of-the-art 132-bed behavioral health facility. This role involves assessing potential patients to determine the appropriate level of care. Prairie St. John's has been providing services for children, adolescents, and adults with behavioral health and substance use challenges since 1997, offering inpatient hospitalization, day treatment, and intensive outpatient services. They are the largest, freestanding behavioral health facility in the region, accredited by The Joint Commission, and serve over 4,000 patients annually. New graduates are welcome to apply.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or family and marriage therapy; or RN license
- Superb documentation skills
- Good communication and relationship skills including the ability to set boundaries, hold confidences, establish and maintain trust.

Responsibilities
- Assess potential patients to determine the appropriate level of care.
- Provide coverage for the schedule: 7 days on/ 7 days off (Wednesday-Tuesday), shift time: 10:00pm-8:00am.
- Work with a highly skilled treatment team.
- Provide excellent care, comfort, and security to patients and families at their most vulnerable times.
- Document patient assessments and care plans.
