About The Position

USPI Conroe Surgery Center is seeking a motivated Insurance Verifier to join their team. The center has 7 OR rooms and performs outpatient surgical procedures in various specialties including ENT, General, OB/GYN, Ophthalmology, Orthopedic, Pain Management, Podiatry, Retina, Urology, and Colo-Rectal. The position requires weekdays only, with no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required, and the schedule is subject to change based on the surgical schedule and the flow of the day.

Responsibilities

• Validating and entering patient information and insurance coverage into the appropriate computer system.
• Verify insurance benefits by reviewing our contract and patient’s quoted benefits.
• Determine co-pay.
• Post all insurance and billing comments.
• Enter all information into the patient accounting system.
• Contact patients regarding money due prior to the date of surgery.
• Insurance coverage into the appropriate computer system.
• Communicating with physician offices, insurance carriers, and patient follow-ups.
